Holy Ghost dove

When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.
–Colossians 3:4

Friendly Neighbors

The Friendly Neighbors of Holy Ghost will meet on Friday, April 25th at 1:00 PM in Gorman Library in the school building. The meeting was moved from April 18th because that was Good Friday. We’ll start our business meeting promptly at 1:00 PM so plan your arrival with sufficient time to purchase all of your games of chance. That Progressive Bingo pot continues to grow. Will we have a winner on April 25th? Sweet treats will be provided by Marge Glodkowski and Loye Hall. Join your Friendly Neighbors for a fun afternoon on April 25th.

Thank you to the person who provided our parish with a new flag for the flag pole, and to Aggie McCormack who passed on to us a very large flag which will be used by the Boy Scouts.

Walking Humbly with Christ

We believe that God will answer our prayers; but often we wonder why so many of our prayers seem to go unanswered. Do we need to follow a special formula or offer our prayers in a special place? There is no magic involved nor is there a specific criterion we have to follow. These seemingly unanswered prayers are being answered, it just isn’t the answer we wanted. The “problem” is not the prayer or how we pray; it is in what we are praying for. A man prayed every day to win the lottery and finally one day God spoke to him: “Buy a ticket!” What do you pray for and do you make what you ask for possible?
