Walking Humbly With Christ

Jesus said, “My peace is my gift to you.” What is this gift of peace? With all the violence and war throughout the world and all the stress and worries of our personal lives, it seems to me the peace at this time as a joke. But the peace that Jesus gives to us is not defined in worldly terms—meaning the absence of conflict and strife. It is a peace within our spirits that comes from the awareness of God’s presence and grace. We need to trust in God’s love and goodness and know that no matter what happens, we belong to God and He will never stop caring for us, loving us and helping us. —Deacon Jim Renwick
