Walking Humbly With Christ

Jesus Is Our Way

It is much too easy to lose our way when our focus in on what other people are or are not doing. The Holy Spirit is working with each of us, guiding our way if we will listen and follow. We are not to compare ourselves with others nor insist that others follow our way. Our focus should be on our own way. Our eyes and ears should be what the Holy Spirit is saying and showing us. Instead of following others and the wrong way, we should simple be asking the question, “WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?” —Deacon Jim Renwick

Life Chain Sunday

On Sunday, October 5th, from 2:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon, thousands of people who recognize God’s voice saying “choose life” will take that message to the streets. They will stand silently side-by-side, holding signs that give truthful but loving warming and exhortations that Abortion Hurts Women, Abortion Kills Children, Adoption, the Loving Option, Jesus Forgives & Heals, and Life—The First Inalienable Right.

Standing publicly, Christians will witness to the value of life and pray silently for an end to abortion. Join other churches on 159th Street between Harlem Ave. and 80th Ave. Please call Sue Riley at 708-532-3107 or Bill Kehoe at 708-535-3107 for exact location and where to pick up signs.

Medical Missions will meet on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:30 AM in the School Office. All are welcome to knit, sew, or crochet with us.
